I love making things with a pattern, it always makes me feel good that I can make my own clothes. Then when your out in public and you get that one complement. Its reassuring that you can make something nice and pretty.

I love watching all those sewing shows.... Fashion Star, Project Runway etc. I kept looking at this pattern and finally broke down and decided I needed to buy it.
You can get it right now for $1.99!! Good deal! This is when I usually stock up on my patterns.
Now when I got home and took out the directions, there was more options than you would think. So you could leave the dress the way it is, or make it into a shorter dress, or even make it into a top, and last you could keep it long and make the sleeves short. You could do even more than what they had suggested.
I cut mine out and loved how the top was to be sewed. The top was one piece!
Amazing, never have sewn a pattern with the top being one piece.
Now I did cut the length of the skirt part shorter. I knew I didn't want it to be maxi length... After getting it all done I put it on and after sending pictures to Rose, {I hate that were far away from each other now}, I went ahead and made it into a shorter dress. Now I liked it the way it was, but I felt that it just wasn't me. It could have been the fabric I choose too. But I ended up taking the the width of the sleeves in too. I want to make this dress again with a nice jersey fabric.
