Picture Monday #2

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend... It was a little cool here, my pictures remind of a nice fall day. I took all these this Sunday. We went out the field to test fly one of Andrew's friends airplanes and so he could get some flying in himself. So I decided I would take pictures for all you... ENJOY!

So I find that I love taking pictures of the front of airplanes... Not sure how to explain why, but I love how they all look!

Just messing around... Love getting fun and different pictures.

Reminds me of Fall! My favorite season... There is a little river over by the field and these were all along the edge... Looked pretty blowing in the wind.

Darin's new airplane. Wonderful scheme!

First flight on the Spark.

And to finish up my day I had to get the blue sky and the MTNs in the background!

Hope you all have a wonderful week!

Cheesy Sausage Bites

Andrew loves having these around. They are good snack when you are hungry. Or what I'll do is make them as an appetizer, for when we go to parties and cookouts.
They are so simple to make. If you like getting your hands in the mixing, you should try these out.

Temp: 385 degrees
Cook Time: 12 - 15 minutes
Ingredients:
2lbs of Hot Italian Sausage
3 1/2 cups of Sharp Shredded Chedder Cheese
1 1/2 cups of Pancake Mix
1/8 cup of Milk (optional)

Put the sausage and pancake mix together in a bowl and smoosh and mix with your hands. Then add the cheese and smoosh and mix with your hands. (and the milk if you are using)

Now start making small balls with your hands. I will make about 30 balls and put them in the oven and finish making the rest of the balls. That way you don't have to get your hands all messy every time.

Fresh out of the oven, let them cool a little while and then put them in a container.

Enjoy!

Picture Monday

Welcome and it is official I am going to continue on doing the Picture Monday. Its just for fun and will help me learn more when it comes to taking a picture.
This time I am going to share with you last Monday. It was my day off and I took pictures of the things I made that day. It was a great crafting day :)

That afternoon I went over to my friend Kayla house and we wanted to make the bird seed wreath. You can find the tutorial HERE.
Kayla did hers with a bundt pan... I don't have a bundt pan, So I used an Angel food cake pan.

Here is mine hanging outside. The next day... I went to work and came home and it was on the ground. Oh well! The birds are still eating the seeds.

I had a friend that just a had a baby girl. I made her a car seat canopy cover, love this fabric! I need to buy more and keep it on hand. It has glitter around all the flowers. Love bows for little girls, the ribbon will make it cuter (I think) hanging from her car seat.

I went to the bank and I was waiting at the stop light and I just thought the MTNs looked pretty with all the snow on them.

Have you seen all the fun things you can do with glitter? I am absolutely addicted to messing with glitter. When I found a tutorial HERE I went looking for an old pair of glasses that I could glitterify. It was so fun and easy, everyone asks me where I got my glasses from, I tell them I just added glitter to the sides to sprouse up an old pair.

Fun Right?!?!

I made myself a necklace, haven't worn it yet... But its different and fun! you can find the tutorial HERE. You are not going to believe what its made out of. PENNE NOODLES!! I didn't use cardboard and I have TONS of felt, so on the back I put felt.

Lastly, I made two rings! One for myself in purple and then one for my mom in green. (pictured) It was a lot of fun and I will keep this tutorial on hand! Its such any easy gift idea for anyone you know. What girl doesn't love jewelry?! You can find the tutorial HERE.

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you all the best this week!

Chick Deviled Eggs

I don't know about you all, but I love deviled eggs! Every time we go to a friends house for a get together, party, etc... there is always deviled eggs.

This Easter we are going to friends house and there is supposed to be about 35 to 40 people. I have bought 4 dozen eggs and will be getting my deviled egg on for the next few days. I am going to dye the eggs and the filling colors and make these Chick Eggs too!

I saw this idea on Rachel Ray the other day.
Here is what some of the eggs will look like... Cute! Right?

Its simple but can be a little tricky. All you need to do is slice the egg a little less than half way down. Then as careful as you can get the yolk out. I found that if I pushed a little on the bottom it would slip out better. As you can see in this photo some of them weren't successful.

Once you have gotten all your yolks out prepare the mixture as usual. You will put your mixture in like you would normally just add a little extra. You want them to be tall enough to hold the top of the egg and enough room to put a face on them. Once you have them filled add the top. Next you will add the face. I used black olives for the eyes and cut them into tiny piece. Infact for the ones in the pictures I used ONE olive. That's 7 chicks with one olive. Then for the nose I used baby carrots. Again one carrot was used for all 7 chicks.

Since Easter is only a few days away, I though I would share my banner and the little bit of the Easter decor I have in the house. As you can see I have a table cloth and two glass cylinders that have Easter grass and a few plastic eggs in them. Simple! I actually made the cylinders. Get two candle sticks and two glass decor cylinders and glue them together and you will have a new decorative item for your home. I move them around my house. I put different decor in them for any season and or holiday.

I made my banner and egg tree last year. All From the Dollar Store! For the tree the center part is part of a wire hanger and then the branches are floral wire. Add a bow and you have a tree...
For my banner I just got foam butterflies and flowers and then bought some square pieces and cut out letters and hot glued them on the butterflies or flowers. Then strung it together with purple ribbon.

Hope you all have a wonderful Easter!

xoxo
